Posting in Another Location

I just posted to Content Management Connection, where I have become a member. I tried to set it up so this blog, Systems Savvy, was connected to CMC, but I wasn’t sure if I had done it correctly. Based on my Google Reader, I actually was successful. However, it’s a one-way street, so I though I would put a link here to the post.

It’s entitled “Knowledge Management Ain’t Actually Going Anywhere“.

I retired over14 years ago, though I've continued to work on and off since then. Mostly I'm just cruising, making the most of what time I have remaining. Although my time is nearly up, I still care deeply about the kind of world I'll be leaving to those who follow me and, to that end, I am devoted to seeing the forces of repression and authoritarianism are at least held at bay, if not crushed out of existence. I write about things that interest me and, as an eclectic soul, my interests run the gamut from science to spirituality, governance to economics, art and engineering. I'm hopeful one day my children will read what I've left behind. View all posts by Rick Ladd

Argh. That blog is very confusing to me. What if I don’t want to subscribe to everything that is posted there — what if I already read a number of those bloggers already. I hope you get more traction and success from that collaboration.

But please do post here when you have something relevant over there. Thanks!

      My, you’re persistent, Jack =;^D

Well, I joined because several of my friends were there and I thought it was a great way to get a little more exposure. I don’t think you have to subscribe to everything. I’m fairly new to blogging outside the firewall, so I’m feeling my way around and hoping to learn without pissing off anybody important!

I hope it works like it did when I took up golf at 46. I learned as long as I picked up my ball and moved on to the next hole, instead of stubbornly attempting to finish out a hole I’d already completely lost it on, nobody got mad at me. Eventually, I learned to play the game and that was no longer a problem. I’m hopeful it will work the same way with blogging. A guy can dream, eh?

      Thanks for another great comment.

I forgot. That particular post is the only one I’ve done directly on the site. I don’t think I’m going to do that anymore, for the reason you’ve stated. My posts here are picked up and published there automatically and I’m going to leave it at that. Glad you pointed it out, though. Thanks.
